The Core edition works only as a standalone app. Pro brings the whole thing into your DAW, with every plugin format, the live mode, the full rack of effects, and MIDI. They both run the same engine underneath, so they reach exactly the same top offline quality.
If you start on Core and later want Pro, you can upgrade later for the difference in price. All prices are in US dollars.
