## ReStem 2 - drum stem separator (current flagship)

ReStem 2 separates a finished drum recording - a stereo drum bus, a single room
mic, or even a full mix - into seven independent stems: kick, snare, hi-hat,
toms, ride, crash, and everything else. It runs in real time as a plugin inside
the DAW, or in a higher-quality offline mode for final renders.

Each separated stem then has its own channel with: a mixer (volume, mute,
solo), a noise gate, a transient shaper (attack and sustain control), a
transient restorer that rebuilds the natural attack detail of each drum on the
separated stem, drum replacement powered by the built-in Drumagog engine
(blendable with the original), and MIDI output. The MIDI conversion captures
per-drum articulation detail: tom pitches sorted into note ranges, hi-hat
openness as pedal CC, and velocities taken from the performance. MIDI can be
dragged into the DAW or exported as a standard MIDI file.

Typical uses: fixing a badly tracked kit without re-recording, un-mixing old
sessions where only a stereo print survives, remixing, and turning acoustic
drum recordings into editable MIDI.
